Chatuge Woods Campground is a 30 acre county operated campground located directly on Lake Chatuge on one of the best open areas of the lake. Many of the campsites have views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
The campsites are all maintained and 1 picnic table is provided per site.
Each site has water and electricity (30 amp). There are 2 dump stations and 2 bath houses.
A 30 ft by 70 ft. picnic shelter with tables is available for campers to use for cookouts free of charge.
Dumpsters are provided for trash.
Located adjacent to the campground is a public boat ramp with ample parking space.
The campground is open 7 months out of the year (April through October).
Camping fees are:
Seasonal ON the lake: $1,750./season Seasonal OFF the lake: $1,400/season RESERVATIONS BEGIN IN THE FALL FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON Monthly ON the lake: $250/month Monthly OFF the lake: $200/month RESERVATIONS BEGIN IN JANUARY FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON Nightly: $20/night RESERVATIONS BEGIN IN JANUARY FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON
Most sites are not on level ground. Remember to bring any tools necessary to level your RV. If you have a reservation for the upcoming camping season, you are eligible to store the RV on the reserved site for the preceding winter at a cost of $250.
Storage dates are from November 1 to April 1st.
Storage is for the camping unit only.
All personal property must be removed from the campground.
No one other than management and law enforcement is allowed to enter the campground during the storage months.
Successful operation of this campground depends upon your compliance of these rules.
